All About Me Mondays

All About Me Mondays is time where I can tell all of you something about myself. I am one interesting & awesome person after all!

This week I thought I would tell you all about my love of Socks! Yes you read that right! Socks! I love crazy socks and strive to wear mismatched socks! I know that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense! Why would someone purposely mismatch their socks? Well I consider it not only a small act of rebellion but a display of my uniqueness & personality!

My socks!
This is how I organize my socks...I don't! I'm really picky about my socks or maybe I'm not that just how I perceive it. The socks I wear do not have to have the same design but they do have to be the same kind. For Example if I'm wearing white socks they both have to white & the same length. Crew Cuts & No Shows can not be worn together! Non-white socks have to have the same length & texture of the insides. On some socks you can feel the design from the inside so those can not be worn with smooth insides socks.

These are the majority of the non-white socks I have that's not including the dirty ones and the ones in the clean laundry. For years I got all of my Crazy non-white socks from Debs. Now I get them from Walmart, Five Below or other such stores. Though I've been wanting to try the socks from the Sock and Hosiery Hut at Destiny USA in Syracuse, NY for awhile now. They seem to have some really cool socks I'm just worried about their prices. I'll have to check them out the next time I'm at Destiny USA! That'll probably be on Friday for Black Friday Shopping!

This is the last sock I have out of a pack of socks one of my roommates from College gave me for Christmas. The other socks in the pack were lost or stolen by my sister or thrown away due to too many holes. I'm still friends with her on Facebook but we've lost touch. This sock reminds of the fun times we had together! She had the room next to mine & there were times in the middle of the night when she would sneeze & I would say Bless you through the wall in between us & she would say Thank you & we would both laugh! This socks has a few holes in it so I don't wear it very often anymore but when I do I never fail to make me smile!

My mom gave me this pair of socks! They say "I kissed a WereWolf" and remind me of the days where I was Twilighter! My senior year in High School was the year I was a obsessed with the Twilight Series. My friends & I would spend our mornings before school started in the library going on & on about Twilight, Robert Pattinson & Taylor Lautner! Do still enjoy watching the movies or reading the books occasionally but I'm not obsessed anymore!

In my family though more specifically my Mom & I buy socks for almost every Holiday! We use to buy earrings for every Holiday as well but I don't really wear earrings anymore.

My Christmas Socks!

These are my Holiday socks! Or at least the ones I still have! I'm sure there are more somewhere. Maybe at my Mom's house. But anyways I have 4 pairs of Christmas socks: snowman, candy cane, naughty & nice & Christmas Toes Socks which I never wear because I don't like things between my toes! I'd love to get a pair of Penguin socks so that's what I'll be on the look out for this Holiday season!

Then there's my Valentine's Day & Halloween socks. My Mom found a pair of Flying Pig socks & of course had to get them for me! Neither of the Halloween socks have a pair. Not that it matters I just find it funny! I'm of those people the people that lose something without even trying! So keeping a pair socks together is incredibly hard for me! Maybe that's the real reason I don't match my socks! :P

What kind of crazy sock collection would be complete without some Tie Dye socks! Neither of these have pairs either! Those poor socks succumbed to holes and tragically found themselves in the trash can! It's tragic because I poured my heart & artistic abilities into these awesome socks and they can't worn together! Damn you!

All that's missing now is my white socks & I won't subject you to picture of them because if you've seen one pair or pile of white socks you've probably seem them all!

If you happen to know of any places where I can get cool socks or have any of your own feel free to share!

Until Next Time! Stay Beautiful :)

Showcase Saturday

Babe suggested I make a Showcase Saturday so that I could branch out from my Stockpile Saturdays and show more of my awesome stuff! I'll still throw some Stockpile posts to keep things fresh! I'm a hoarder so I have tons of stuff to show all of you! Now on to this week's showcase: My Rubber Duckie Collection!

I've always had an interest in Rubber Duckies. Well one I told my Gramma May that I wanted Rubber Duckies for my birthday. She bought me the Mega Rubber Ducky Assortment from Oriental Trading it contains 100 Rubber Duckies! I've gotten several Rubber Duckies since then & now have 121 Rubber Duckies in my collection! I know I have a few other Duckies somewhere but I'm not sure where!

My Rubber Ducky Collection
The majority of the Ducks lined up behind the single row of Ducks are the Duckies that came from the gift my Gramma May gave me! I know the picture makes it a little difficult to see the different types of Duckies I have. So I'll tell you what's there & where I got them from. I'll also do my very best not to confuse the crap out of all of you! In the back section from the left to right we have Graduation Ducks (from Graduation Parties I attended). Decorate Your Own Rubber Duckies (my Aunt P gave them to me & her kids decorated some of them). Halloween Ducks (from Oriental Trading maybe?). The Ducks to the right of the Halloween Ducks and all the way over to the right side are all from the Oriental Trading Mega Assortment except the Large Reindeer Duck (my Mom gave it to me), the Large Pink Duck with Hearts & the Large Green Duck (both are from Walmart). *Even I think this sounds confusing! So I'm sorry!* The OT Mega Assortment my Gramma May gave me included the following types of Ducks: Firefighter, Policeman, Nurse, Doctor, Army, Swimming/Summer Fun, Mad Scientist, Flowers, Raincoats, Propeller Hat, Fiesta, Pirate, Princess and Sheriff Ducks. The single row of ducks are other ducks I've come across over the years. From left to right: Red, Blue & Purple Ducks (bought with tickets at an Arcade). Random Yellow Duck & Color Changing Duck (I have NO idea where these came from). Pig Duck (from the store Around the World). *Of course I would have a Pig Duck!* Super Hero Duck who I've named Duck Man! What's that in the sky? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? NO! It's Duck Man! *Sadly Babe pointed out Duck Man is a bird then proceeded to laugh at me!* I even came up with an alternate name for him like Superman or Batman. Darren Duckington or something like that! (I believe Duck Man is from a quarter machine). The Hippie Ducks next to Duck Man (are from Around the World). The Black Axe Duck in the middle was given to me by Uncle Don. Last but not least the very tiny pink & black Ducks are from a quarter machine they also came with stickers. I know I have more of those Ducks and the stickers somewhere but again I'm not sure where!

Duck Bin
This is how I currently store my Rubber Duckies. I'm hoping that when/if we move into a house I'll have more room to spread them out so I can see them all better! I've been thinking of adding more Duckies to my collection. Oriental Trading has so many Awesome Rubber Duckies! I even started a Pinterest Board for all of the different Rubber Duckies I want from them. I've been thinking about how I could us Rubber Duckies to teach my future children lots of stuff such as the ABC's, numbers and even emotions!

I love Rubber Duckies & I'm glad I was able to share that love with you!

Until Next Time! Stay Beautiful :)

Thursday Thoughts

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate / referral links.

I’m linking up with Jen over at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for Thursday Thoughts today.

- Tonight is game night at R's (my boyfriend's brother) work. Game Night is a monthly event that usually happens on the last Friday of the month. But the last Friday of October was Halloween so R switched it to this Friday and then switched it again to today when not very many people signed up! So once a month people from R's work and their friends/family all get together and play games for a few hours! I have a huge collection of card & board games so I always look forward to this event. I also like to bring as many snacks as possible in hopes of people eating all of them since we have so many! This time I'm bringing Life, Sorry, Flip Out, Funny or Die, Cards Against Humanity, Munchkins Booty, Last Word and an assortment of card games. We never end up playing all of them but I enjoy bringing them anyways! We're also bringing the Wii U this time. During September's Game Night I was SO BORED! The boys played a game that I didn't like for what seemed like hours! I was SO BORED I played a game of Sorry as all four players and beat myself! I will not let boredom win this time around!

- I've been working on tidying up the apartment which seems to be a never ending job since I always seem to mess it up again! But this time around I've been taking it one task at a time. I've already cleaned out one of the cabinets and I nearly have enough junk off the floor to vacuum! Yay me!

- I love this time of year in terms of how great the television shows are! I also like that I only have to wait a week for the next episode. Even though the week seems to drag whenever you are waiting to see the next episode! I'm currently obsessed with The Originals, Sleepy Hollow, Masterchef Junior, 19 Kids & Counting, The Big Bang Theory and The Vampire Diaries!

- I've won a few giveaways lately and am really excited about the prizes! I'm always excited when I win a giveaway regardless of what the prize! But I'm even more excited than usual because the prizes were for subscription boxes! I've been becoming more and more envious every time I read anyone's review of a subscription box! I won a subscription to Unbound Box  an Adult Subscription Box from Tiffany Review's It All and a 3 month subscription to Birchbox from Cassandra Morgan and a 1 month subscription to Box of Happies. I didn't have a subscription to any subscription box and now I have 3! Eep! I'm so excited!! I just can't hide it!

- I'm currently knitting an off-white scarf and am trying to get through it as soon as I can because my next project is an Electric Blue & Black scarf for my friend Kitty. I'm excited but it will be my first dual colored scarf so I'm also nervous and trying to figured out how many inches long each color should be and etc. I think she'll love it either way!

That's it for now! What's on your mind?

Until Next Time! Stay Beautiful :)

Workout Wednesdays

Workout Wednesdays are meant to give myself some inspiration and ideas for working out during the week! I'm trying to become a healthier person one step at a time! One Workout at a time!

Since the 2nd week in September I've been taking two fitness classes a week at my local community center. I take a Total Body Aqua Water Aerobics class on Mondays and a Fitness AM on the Mat class on Thursdays that includes Pilates, Yoga and Core Exercises. I'm proud of myself for taking these classes and for continuing to attend them each week!

So far I'm enjoying my Water Aerobics class more than my Fitness on the Mat class. I love being in the water and some weeks my teacher gives us such a good workout that I go home and take a nap! Whereas with my Fitness class I find that I don't sweat and can't do all of the exercises. I do what I can and enjoy the exercises I can do!

I'm thinking of joining more Aquatic Classes next season and I'm still on the fence about the Dry Fitness Classes. I may look into a step class. I bet that would kick my butt real fast! It doesn't real matter what classes I take just that I'm continuing my journey to becoming a healthier person!

Some Motivational Words for this week:

This is something I need to remember! I'm doing this for me! Not for anyone else! For me to feel healthier and to like myself more! I have a feeling this is going to be a mantra of mine! Or maybe I'll try writing some of these awesome quotes on sticky notes or something so that I can come across them when I need some inspiration!

Are there any quotes you find inspirational?

Until Next Time! Stay Beautiful :)

All About Me Mondays

It's been a long time since I've done one of these All About Me Mondays. A time where I can tell all of you something about myself. I'm one interesting & awesome person after all!

This week I thought I would tell you about one of my hobbies! I love to Knit or at least to Quick Knit. Quick Knitting is where you use a Loom to Knit instead or Needles. I would love to learn to Knit without a loom in the future. Though for now I use looms. Looms can limit the different types of projects you can make. You would need a different shaped loom for different projects.

I bought a set of the Rectangular Looms from Michael's. They also have a set of Round Looms which I have considered getting as well but I just don't wear hats! I upgraded to the Rectangle Looms from a Spool Loom (similar to this one but not this exact product). I felt extremely limited with the projects I could create with the Spool Loom. I made a few Tube Scarves like this one that Priscilla is modelling.

Priscilla the Fancy Pig
Priscilla is sporting a super gorgeous 10 foot long Green Tube Scarf. I made it 10 feet long so it could be wrapped around the neck multiple times to insure maximum warmth!

After upgrading to Rectangular Looms I decided I would go for the Biggest Loom first. Not the smartest idea I've had since I was under the impression I could make a blanket out of it. Maybe a Baby Blanket but definitely not a blanket for an Adult. The below is what I've done so far on the biggest loom.

It might be a little bit longer as this picture was taken a few weeks ago. After the blanket idea failed I decided upon using it as a shawl. Though lately I've been considering binding off the ends and finding a use for it at it's current length because I love this yarn and want to use the rest of it to make a gorgeous scarf! Also due to the length of the loom I get easily frustrated when I work on this project.

Being that I have a short attention span I started using the smallest loom in the set to make scarves even though I was still working on the shawl project.

This is the first scarf I made and what it looked like when I first started knitting and the finished product! The scarf itself is made using Loops & Threads Charisma Northern Lights Yarn. The L&T Charisma Yarn is the Yarn I use in all of my scarves and knitting projects. The yarn is thick and soft so they make for nice & toasty scarves! This scarf is about 5 1/2 feet long and took me about 6 days to knit!

I like to knit when I'm watching TV or when I'm in the car as I'm not a very good passenger and it helps distract me! I've thought about challenging myself to knit a new scarf every two weeks! I doubt it will last long as I can already feel myself slowly getting bored with knitting. When I do reach my maximum level of boredom I will probably but it aside for awhile and then pick it up again in the future! Hopefully anyways as I have been known to cast things and food aside for good when I get bored/sick of it!

Two weeks seems like a good length of time to make a scarf. Since I know I can knit a 5 1/2 foot long scarf in as little as 3 days if I push myself like I did this past weekend!

I've already started a new scarf! In my new scarf I tried to use two different colored yarns to make an even more beautiful scarf like in the video I watched to learn how to bind off scarves. Turns out she used lighter or worsted weight yarn to make her scarf so when I tried to combine two strands of the yarn I was using I got this:

One Seriously Thick Yarn Caterpillar!
The Dark Purple Scarf of Love!
I realized after a few rows that the scarf was going to be too thick so I stopped where I was a took the scarf off the loom! I think it looks like a Caterpillar! So after this fail cake I started another new scarf. I had wanted to give this Off-White & Dark Purple Scarf to my Gramma for Christmas but I guess I'll just be giving her a Dark Purple Scarf instead! I think she'll love it either way! Purple is her favorite color and I'm making it with love! So I know she'll love it! I also think my Mom will love it too so I might have to make her one too!

I also have plans to make a Scarf for my best friend Missy for her Birthday in Jan. but the yarn I wanted to use is out of stock so I'll have to wait to start that project!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Until Next Time! Stay Beautiful :)

Summer Recap Continued

The rest of July was spent inside fighting off some sickness. It made for a terrible two weeks. Eventually I was able to return normal. Sam normal anyways!

The complex we live in has a pool. Every Summer I say I'm going to go swimming everyday or at least to try and go more often than I did last year. I even made Tuesdays Swimming Day but like most resolutions I make I don't end up sticking to. It worked for the first Tuesday and then several of the following Tuesday weren't very good weather. I'm one of those if-I-miss-one-week-I'm-done people. Also the screaming children often deters me from wanting to go swimming!

In the middle of August Babe & I attended Henry Buggins' (Bernie's Dog) 2nd Birthday Party. Bernie threw him a Birthday Party last year and I wasn't able to attend. This year I was able to and I had a good time! Plus I got to take pictures and mess around with the filters on my camera & we all know I love doing that!

These are my favorite pictures of Henry from the party in the Punk filter on my camera! Henry wasn't the only dog there. Bernie's Mom and someone else brought their dogs.

Overall I had a really great time at the party and look forward to next year's party!

August also holds one of my favorite events of the Year!! The New York State Fair! I've gone nearly every year since I was little. For a number of years I lived within walking distance of the New York State Fairgrounds. We could here the concerts from our windows! Despite how much I love attending the New York State Fair I didn't go this year! I waited too long to make plans, didn't have enough money to splurge on what I usually splurge on and my anxiety made me acutely aware that I might be a burden to whoever I went to the fair with!

My mom & my sister went to the Fair & took pictures of the Sand Sculpture for me! This year's Sand Sculpture was a Dr. Seuss inspired Sculpture. It had Horton Hears A Who, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Yertle the Turtle, Cat in the Hat, The Lorax and several other Dr. Seuss characters and a few quotes in it! Definitely one of my favorite Sculptures so far! They also saw the Butter Sculpture but forgot to take a picture of it.

My Dad also went to the Fair this year & he stopped at the New York State Lottery Building for me. Each year they have a new lottery ticket at the State Fair and when you buy it you can get a Squishy (like a stress ball) and enter to win stuff such as more lottery tickets, more squishies, NYS Lottery Merchandise and more. The Squishy is different every year and I collect them! One year if was Horse. Another year it was a Duck (I have this one). The year after that (2012 I think) it was Fish and you had a few different ones to choose from! I had a few of the fish but I made the mistake of giving one to Henry and he tore it up. Last year the Squishy was a blue dice or a red dice. I have both! The Squishy for 2014 was sports: Hockey Puck, Football, Basketball and maybe a Baseball. The Baseball is the only one I don't have!

The point of my Rant is that I LOVE the New York State Fair and I am so excited for next year! I WILL attend regardless of my anxiety, financial status and whether or not I have plans! Also a shout out to my Awesome Family who made me feel like I was at the Fair even though I wasn't there!

Nothing much to be said about the rest of Summer. Mostly just me trying to come to terms with the fact that the weather was more Fall weather than Summer weather and the days where I could wear shorts became far & few! The complex ended up closing our pool nearly a week early which really sucked when the weather got hot again!

What did you do this Summer?

Until Next Time! Stay Beautiful :)

Procrastination at it's Best

I've always been a procrastinator. Especially when it came to school work and chores. My procrastination continues today with writing on this blog and anything else I think I can get away with putting off for "just awhile longer"! I think now would be a good time to try and overcome my procrastinating. I'll start by recapping what's been going on in the past few months!

In the July I went with my Gramma, my Aunt T and my Mom to Lincolnville, Maine for our yearly trip. This year was only my third year going with my family to Maine but my Gramma has been going there for over a decade. Her sister Bet (my great aunt) and her daughter Jo have been going even longer! At least 20 years. This year we stayed for 10 whole days of family fun & relaxation! We rarely get to see my Great Aunt & Jo so I always cherish what little time I do get to spend with them!!

Our Private Beach
We have our own little beach that we go to. The ocean is always so cold but I love going in anyways! This year I fiddled around with the filters on my camera and some of the pictures came out really really cool! My camera has a Sparkle, Drawing, Punk, Fish Eye, Pin Hole, Pop Art, Watercolor and a few other filters. The Punk which turns everything Pink is one of my favorites. The Watercolor filter picture below is what the view from our spot on the beach looks like!

Watercolor Filter
When we're up in Maine we always go to our favorite spots. Moody's Diner in Waldoboro is one of our favorite restaurants we always eat there a few times during the week! They have super delicious baked goods! My favorite is their Pumpkin Whoopie Pie! Yum!!

Since we go out for most of our meals we try new restaurants too. This year we tried out the Smokestack Grill which has a beautiful view of a waterfall. I really liked that you could feel the mist from the waterfall. We also tried out Cappy's Chowder House as well as a few others.

The View from our Table at the Smokestack Grill
While we're in Maine we also hit up our favorite Ice Cream places. You would not believe how many times we usually get Ice Cream! We also hit up the movies on a rainy day. This year we saw the movie Tammy. I really didn't think my Gramma was going to like it but she did! We also had to hit up any Reny's store we came across! There are far more Reny's than I thought! My Aunt T loves Reny's and makes us goes as often as we can! There is a Reny's in Maine (I can't remember which town since we went to several Reny's) that is split into two separate stores across the street from each other. It's pretty interesting to see the differences in each store.

Boothbay, ME
I had never been to Boothbay before. It's a beautiful place and has some very nice shops. There was one shop the Coastal Maine Popcorn Co. that had some crazy popcorn flavors like Buffalo Wing, Blue Cheese, Wasabi Soy, Cotton Candy, Caramel Apple, S'mores and much more. I didn't try any of their popcorn while I was there but I would love to in the future! I'm a sucker for Cheddar Popcorn!! I was/am truly devastated that they changed the Orville Redenbacher's Cheddar Pour Popcorn to just Orville Redenbacher's Cheddar Popcorn!! The Cheddar Butter made that popcorn super delicious and NOW it is just meh! I'll eat it if I have it around but I won't go out of my way to get it or eat it like I would have for the Cheddar Pour!

Inland View of Boothbay Harbor
Ocean View of Boothbay Harbor

Boothbay Harbor, ME is a beautiful place & I'm very glad we got to visit there! Overall this year's trip was very enjoyable! As always I enjoyed making even more memories with my family!! Sadly this was my last trip to Maine with my family for now at least! Maybe I'll be able to go again some day!!

Where do you go on vacation with your family?

Until Next Time! Stay Beautiful :)

Thursday Thoughts

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate / referral links.

I’m linking up with Jen over at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for Thursday Thoughts today.

- The middle of August is usually a time for shorts and being unable to sleep in any room that doesn't have an air conditioner in it. That is not the case this year! It's breezy and feels like September. I want to enjoy my last few weeks of summer with some hot weather. #wheresthesun

- An Organization Tornado has been on a warpath through my apartment the last few days. Sadly I think it's going to stick around awhile. I'm upset with myself for underutilizing the multiple bookshelves I have. So I'm trying to reorganize everything all at once and it's creating a BIG mess.

- I've come across a few projects on Pinterest that I feel I "need" to do. Like giving my drawer carts a makeover and other life hacks. Whenever I come across a new organization tip I can't help but think "Why haven't I been doing this?".

- Babe made some super delicious Triple Dipped Chicken Strips on Saturday Night. We tweaked the recipe by omitting the seasonings we didn't have paprika and poultry seasoning for the ones we did have red pepper flakes and chili powder. He also didn't measure the seasonings out just did the old dumparoo.

Some Seriously Delicious Chicken Right There!
- Babe was going to make more of these delicious Chicken Strips on Saturday but we get to help his Mom with some Eagle Scout stuff instead. No yummy Chicken on Saturday & no yummy Steak Fajitas on Friday! On the bright side his Mom usually gets us food when we help her out! Yay!

- Becoming a healthier person has been a goal of mine that I'm trying to move to center stage. It needs to become a priority. No more excuses! I can do this! I lack the ambition to exercise, I live one meal to the next so I always shove my face full of food until I'm sick and I overall just don't take care of myself the way I should. These aren't excuses they're things I want & need to change!

That's it for now! What's on your mind?

Until Next Time! Stay Beautiful :)

Stockpile Saturdays

A place where I can share a picture from my awesome Couponing Stockpile each Saturday. Couponing is a big part of my life and I'm very proud of everything I've collected! I am an Extreme Couponer meaning I do have quantities of items that may seem unreasonable to some people.

This Saturday I thought I would show you my hash browns. I stocked up on Instant hashbrowns because Bernie loves them!

My Hashbrowns
I have 32 boxes of Hungry Jack hashbrowns. They're mostly Original hashbrowns though there are a few Cheesy hashbrowns.

Occasionally coupons.com has a $0.50/1 Hungry Jack Hashbrown Potatoes coupon. I used mine at Wegmans where the Hungry Jack Hashbrown Potatoes cost $1.29. The coupon doubles and makes each hashbrown box $0.29 each! $0.29 for an easy breakfast item for Bernie or the boys is an awesome deal in my book!

I can't wait for the coupon to come around again! I have more than enough hashbrowns to last us for awhile but my Dad enjoys them too. Like most of the items in my stockpile I share them with my family. I'm convinced my Mom will go through my entire laundry detergent stock before I even have a chance to use a single bottle! That's a topic for another week!

That's it for this week! I hope you enjoyed seeing my stockpile half as much as I enjoyed showing it to you!

Until Next Time! Stay Beautiful :)

Workout Wednesdays

Workout Wednesdays are meant to give myself some inspiration and ideas for working out during the week! I'm trying to become a healthier person one step at a time! One Workout at a time!

Lately I haven't been working out. I've been contemplating the differences between Motivation and Ambition. I have the Motivation but I'm lacking the Ambition to actually getting moving on my journey. I'm also finding myself to be somewhat unwilling to change my habits.

I need to remember "One Step at a time! One Workout at a time!" and I need to tell it to myself everyday! Who knows maybe this mantra will come in handy for other aspects of my life!!

When I do think about working out I think about how bored I get when I use the Elliptical and I'm not even willing to try the Treadmill. On a side note Babe makes fun of me whenever I say Treadmill or Windmill. Not that either of those come up in conversations very often but when your on Vacation in Kingston, MA and there are Windmills all over the place it does comes up. He laughs because I always pronounce them as Treadmeal or Windmeal. "Look at all the Windmeals!" or "You won't catch me on a Treadmeal!" It's just the way I say it! Getting back to working out I've been thinking I would enjoy working out more if I could find a dance workout. I'm still on the hunt for dance workouts so if you know of any good ones please let me know! For now I'm going to try watching some on YouTube.

Some Motivational Words for this week:

"The Only Bad Workout is the one that didn't happen". How True is that! I always feel so upset and angry with myself for not making it more than 15 minutes when I workout. When in reality I worked out for 15 minutes! Oh yeah! 15 minutes is a start and better than nothing! I need to stop being so hard on myself and realize that at least I'm putting effort into it!

"One Step at a time! One Workout at a time!"

Until Next Time! Stay Beautiful :)

All About Me Mondays

It's been a few weeks since I've done one of these posts. I still have so much I can tell you about myself (because I'm SOO awesome!!) but I keep finding myself at a loss of words. Or I can't figure out where to start!

This week's interesting fact: I'm left handed! I know that doesn't sound very interesting. I'm one of the only left-handed people in my family. On my Dad's side I'm one of two left-handed people; my cousin Nikki and myself. On my Mom's side I'm one of 3 left handed people; 2 Uncles and myself. My Mom thinks I would probably be right handed if it weren't for the fact that my old babysitter made me write with my left hand.

I do the majority of things with my right hand. Except for of course writing though I have been trying to teach myself to write with my right hand. I get cramps in my left easily so being able to write with my right hand could come in handy ;)

It may not be coming across but I am proud to be left-handed. I also understand a left-handed person's plight. A few week's ago my Mom shared a link with me on Facebook of 23 Soul-Crushing Problems Only Left-Handed People Understand. Not all of the Left-Handed People problems were problems I face because I'm fairly ambidextrous. One of the problems I do face is feeling like society hates me as most products are designed for right handed people. Also I can't stand spiral notebooks or most notebooks for that matter. Though one of the most annoying things about being a left-handed person is Smudge Hand! Or Silver Surfer Hand as the post above calls it! It takes serious concentration to avoid smudging things.

One of the best things about being left handed is that you, well I feel special! There are far more righties in the world than lefties! So as a lefty I feel special! It's also cool to say "Lefties Unite!" We even have our own day! Left-Handers Day is August 13! Whoop Whoop!! We'll have to do something special to celebrate!

Until Next Time! Stay Beautiful :)
